Shanghai, 1866, Large Dragon (Antique Numerals, "CANDAREENS" plural), 3ca terra cotta, wove paper variety, printing 37a (Chan LS27 var. Scott 28 var. Livingston unlisted), a splendid used example, tight margins as always, fresh, a stunning example of the great Shanghai Large Dragon, cancelled by customary Shanghai "large belt buckle" postmark in brown; with usual, deeply cut horizontal lines above and below central compartment as always, resulting in normal splits, Fine to Very Fine, less than 5 used examples are believed to exist.
