1912 (July 23) Great Britain Daily Mail Waterplane Flight, picture postcard of a Henry Farman Waterplane flown during the Daily Mail Waterplane Circuit, the message reading "This is leaving here today by the Aerial Post", bearing the large cachet "CARRIED BY / DAILY MAIL / WATERPLANE" in black. Franked KGV ½d cancelled at Weymouth, addressed to a soldier in India with postage due handstamps applied in London and India, octagonal "BARRACKPORE / UNPAID" arrival datestamp (Aug 12). 1920 (Jan 23) Karachi to Bombay experimental air service, 2½a large size (4x10 inches) registration envelope flown from Karachi to The Thornton Pickard Manufacturing Co. in England, endorsed "Per Aerial Service" and franked KGV ½a (2) + 8a, the stamps and cover tied by the Karachi Air Post c.d.s, London backstamp (Feb 11). An unusual registered cover carried on the first flight, which appears to be commercial, three vertical folds and opened out, otherwise fine and attractive.
