1959 (June) Second Post-Independence definitive issue, artists preliminary sketches on tracing paper (6 drawings on three pieces); preliminary drawings of the six designs, the 20f in pencil with notes on the colour and size, the other five designs in colour on separate pieces with shorter pencil notes; and finely handpainted stamp size essays of the six adopted designs each on thick card, 95x107mm (3f, 5f, 10f) or 95x54mm (15f, 20f, 25f) each bearing a "Thomas De La Rue & Company Limited, 1959" label. The 3f card endorsed "Design for 1, 2 and 3 francs", all six cards with "G2062" in pencil on reverse, the 3f and 10f cards also endorsed "Engraving Approved DLR" on reverse.
