1914-20 1d Comb perf 14¼x14 block of six, left two stamps both die II, the other four stamps die I, variety watermark inverted, mounted mint, a few perfs separated and reinforced with hinges, otherwise fine and a scarce die I/II block. 1937-56 KGVI Definitives with all listed perfs, shades and dies, and some varieties, including all five 1937-49 perf 13½x14 3d stamps and perf 15x14 2d scarlet coil pair (S.G. 184a), 1948-56 ½d sky retouch within a vertical coil strip of three (S.G. 228cb), etc., all superb unmounted mint. 1967 Christmas 25c, unadopted essay by Erica McGilchrist handpainted on card in seven colours, inscribed in the upper margin "one of 19 preliminary designs for 25 cents Christmas stamp, Australia 1967" and signed by the artist, 108x159mm. Also an F.D.C bearing the issued design by McGilchrist in a block of four, signed by the artist in the margin. A unique essay, similar to the adopted design. (2).

Tasmania. 1853-1900 Mint and used collection with imperf (90) and perforated (33) Chalon Head issues, very mixed quality but some fine, also 1870-91 1d carmine and 2d green control blocks of six mint, 4d buff, 9d blue and 10d black mint blocks of four, 1892-99 ½d - 5/- mint and used, etc., some useful numeral cancels noted. Cancellations. 1899-1912 Pictorial issue, selected circular datestamp cancels on stamps (456), covers or cards (40), virtually all different, some scarce cancels highly rated in the Tasmania Handbook including Gravelly Beach, Mills Reef, Murdunna, Black Brush, Darwin, Deep Bay, Glen Huon, Ladys Bay, Lienna, Loira, Lower Turners Marsh, etc. (496).
