1967 Christmas 25c, unadopted essay by Erica McGilchrist handpainted on card in seven colours, inscribed in the upper margin "one of 19 preliminary designs for 25 cents Christmas stamp, Australia 1967" and signed by the artist, 108x159mm. Also an F.D.C bearing the issued design by McGilchrist in a block of four, signed by the artist in the margin. A unique essay, similar to the adopted design. (2).
