The collection begins with Scott #1 (used, 3-margin, c.v. $425), and continues with selections of primarily used classics including 2c Black Jack, Bank Note issues (including mint no gum stamps), Columbian issues, along with back of the book issues. A cursory check indicated Scott #s 290 (m.h., c.v. $140), 803-834 (m.h., $131 total), C1 block of 4 (m.h., $220), along with stamps cataloguing $10 and up. Online photos show the better pages. United States Stock of Mint and Used Filling Nine Red Boxes, 1860s-1990s, starting with a red box containing roughly 500 mint plate blocks in 300 dealer 102 cards, generally ranging from the 1940s to the 1990s. Each card is identified by Scott number along with retail prices. Face value of the box totals $758 (counting 50c and up only, noting $1 denominations and up). The lot also includes 8 filled red boxes and a half sized red box, all neatly sorted in roughly 9,000 dealer 102 cards with Scott numbers and with the majority of cards having retail prices shown (roughly 85% of the cards). The lot begins with a full box and a half of mint material, generally ranging from the 1940s onward. We estimate roughly $300 U.S. of face value postage, ranging from 15c to 32c only. The used material fills seven red boxes, generally ranging from the 1860s onward, and includes selections of back of the book material, Hawaii, Officials, etc. Duplication for mint and used generally ranges from 1 to 10. A spot check indicated the majority of stamps retail $3 and under, noting some stamps retailing $10 and up. We note a few faults with the early material. Generally fine to very fine. (Image)

Collection / Accumulation of Mint and Used United States, 1847-2000s, with a few thousand stamps, in a Minkus album, and roughly 40 manilla and Vario-style stock pages in two binders. The lot begins with a mint and used collection in a Minkus album, with the vast majority of stamps in black mounts. We counted 146 different stamps (with a few issues having a mint hinged, and a used example), up to and including Scott 290. We note many better items, such as Scott #7 (used pair, c.v. $285), 68-70, 71, 73 (used, $470 total), small selection of grilled issues from the 1867 and 1869 issues, mint and used 1893 Columbians up to the $1, mint and used 1898 Trans-Mississippi up to the 10c, complete mint, with some used, 1901 Pan-American issues, complete mint and used 1904 Louisiana Purchase sets, and continues with mint and used stamps, sets and partial sets up to 1980. The collection also includes primarily used back of the book issues including airmails, postage dues, special delivery, Hawaii (roughly 40 different mint and used stamps, including Scott #12 (if genuine, with faults), and Offices in China (ranging from Scott #K1- K14). The lot continues with two stockbooks of mint and used accumulations, generally from the 1890s up to modern day, including $351 of face value postage (counting 10c up to $5, with the majority in the 20c to 36c range). Owner's 2014 Scott catalogue value totals $24,283. Online scans show a sampling, and we recommend in-person viewing as we cannot attest to the owner's proper identification. We note some of the early mint stamps have no gum, heavy hinging or some gum disturbances, with a few small faults on a few of the early used, still mostly fine to very fine. (Image)

Valuable Mint and Used United States Collection in a Scott Specialty Album, 1851 to 1934, with a mix of mint and used (with some NH in black mounts), we counted 162 different stamps up to and including Scott 291. We note many better items, such as a group of 19 diff. used grilled issues, including a very nice set (to the 30c) of the 1869 issues with nice colours, used set of the 1873 issue, 1893 Columbians are used to the $1, 1898 Trans-Mississippi are used to the 50c, complete mint 1901 Pan-American issue, complete mint 1904 Louisiana Purchase set, many mint and used Washington and Franklin issues incl. coils, and so much more. Back of the book is equally strong, with complete mint 1918 and 1923 Air Post, complete Special Delivery (missing E10, all used except for E1 which is unused, no gum), complete Parcel Post used, 48 out of the 96 Postage Dues (mostly used and includes a used sheet of 100 of J87), and the following mint Officials: O7, 16, 18, 28, 73, 83, 91-93, 126, used O66, 109, 121 and last but not least is a page with 8 mint and 2 used Confederate States issues including a lovely #2 with a socked on the nose Richmond VA 1962 c.d.s. All in all a better than average collection, with a very high catalogue value, with faults here and there, still mostly fine or better. United States Collections and Accumulation, consisting of the following collections: the American Album which has some presentable classics as well as numerous Washington / Franklin issues plus a few revenues. There is a Minuteman album with classics to the mid-1980s, mostly used and a little over half complete. There is also a well-filled Traveler stamp album with stamps to the 1990s, although this one has fewer of the higher-cataloguing items. Among the accumulated material there is a 16 double-sided page stockbook with Chicago pre-cancels on the 4c, 5c and 6c Presidential series stamps, often in larger multiples.
