1860s-1990s Collection with sparse earlies noted Washington 10c and a range of lower value Large Banknotes plus a few early commemoratives, reasonably complete from 1930s-60s including some * with plenty of spares/duplicates in albums, then apparently complete unmounted mint from 1969-1992 including a little duplication such as 1987 Wildlife sheet of 50 x4, etc, condition of the earlies quite mixed but the modern very fine. Weighs 19kg.

1860s Washington 3c Envelope (the embossing oxidised) with 'PAID/Wells Fargo & Co/OVER OUR CALIFORNIA AND COAST ROUTE' header, to San Francisco with the stamp cancelled with two strikes of the oval 'WELLS FARGO & CO/OCT7/VICTORIA' d/s in bright blue, a splendid strike of the undated-oval 'POST OFFICE/[coat of arms]/VICTORIA V.I.' cachet in dull blue at left.
