1851, 1¢ blue, type Ib (Scott 5A), rare and better position 6R1E, large margins almost all around (a bit close at bottom) with type characteristics showing clearly, wonderfully bright shade and sharp impression, town postmark; a mild corner crease at top left, otherwise Fine to Very Fine, with 2022 P.F. certificate, a lovely example of the rare 1851 one-cent type Ib from plate one early, from one of the two positions that furnished the best examples of the type.
