CANADA, 1927 "London to London" Ill-Fated Flight, a rare mint publicity postcard produced to promote the Tully and Medcalf flight sponsored by Carling Breweries. images of the aircraft, Pilot TB Tully, Navigator Lieut JD Medcalf and Mr. Chas. Burns of Carling Breweries who were offering $25,000 for a non-stop flight, fresh and Very Fine; this card, along with two others were found in a box of non-philatelic aviation items at a local auction in Ontario in 2014 ; ex-MotsonrnThe Stinson "Detroiter" aircraft could not carry sufficient fuel to complete the whole flight without refueling at Harbour Grace, Nfld nor was a radio carried on-board.
