1933 Lindbergh Atlantic Survey Polar Route Flight, oversized envelope franked with Denmark 1930 10o, 15o (2) Christian X tied by 23.8.33 cancels, addressed to Germany, typed "Mit Flugzueg Oberst Lindbergh von Angmangssalik" (By Airplane Colonel Lindbergh from Angmagssalik) at top and "7. Thule Expedition Ostgronland" at bottom, no markings on back side, a trivial bit of discoloration at upper left but still Very Fine (AAMC PP 135-4 var.)rnAngmagssalik is a town on the east coast of Greenland and Lindbergh stopped there on his 1933 Arctic survey flight. It is known Lindbergh carried a small amount of mail on his flight from Greenland to Iceland but according to the AAMC this mail was handed over to him in towns along the west coast. Other sources state that mail was also handed over to Lindbergh at Angmagssalik but it is reported as all addressed to Denmark.
