An interesting group of stamps and 100 covers or postcards from Rattlesnake Island Local Post. This private post used Ford Trimotor planes to carry mail from a small island in Lake Erie to the mainland. Stamp designs catered to collectors with butterflies, triangles, etc. supplementing the required U.S. postage. Good variety and nice condition for this popular collecting area. (Image)
