1901 USA to EGYPT FORWARDING AGENT, #281 pays the 5¢ UPU rate from Boston on JAN21-1901 to the Shepheards Hotel Forwarding Agent in Cairo, redirected a number of times in Egypt and eventually sent to the Thomas Cook Agent in Cairo where it was despatched to the Thomas Cook office in Boston, they tried the Soldiers Home at Togus-ME then to Portland-ME, finally endorsed NOT KNOWN and returned to sender, a well travelled cover with great markings, VF est ($50+ US) (Image)
