Antigua. 1774 (Aug 20) Entire letter written from the ship "Deal Castle" in English Harbour, Antigua, to Thomas Dobree, Guernsey to the care of Mr William Seward at Southampton handstamped "DOVER / SHIP LRE" and "27/OC" Bishop Mark, the reverse endorsed "Forwarded by y most hble servt W. Seward". File folds, otherwise fine.

1786-93 Entire letters from Durell Sausmarez in Plymouth (2) or Ireland (3) all to Thomas Sausmarez in Guernsey, endorsed by the forwarding agents T. Durell (3, 1786-93), Seward & Pipon (1792) or Seward & Co. (1792), handstamps include Plymouth, Plymouth Dock, Waterford, Roscommon and red "IRELAND" applied in London. Also 1806 entire letter from Catherine Sausmarez in Guernsey to her husband Thomas at the Oxford Coffee House in London redirected "to the care of Messrs Priaulx & Bienvenue Southampton" with oval "Ship Lre / (crown) / WEYMOUTH". One 1793 entire letter from Roscommon with faults, the others fine (see lots 958, 1177/8 for other letters from Durell Sausmarez). (6).
