TINFOIL Tobacco Wrapper Collection, (81) diff used, 1869 to early 20th Cent, mounted in Mylar mounts on 8 1/2x11 exhibit pages, These Taxpaids were printed & issued in quantities of millions but due to their type of use and fragile nature they are not commonly seen today. These have been used for their intended purpose & show evidence of being wrapped around a block of tobacco, carried in someones pocket until opened & rewrapped multiple times, Most examples seen today have small holes, tear, creases, or wrinkles. Many of the limited supply have been damaged in the past by gluing to stiff paperboard. A collection this large is rarely seen in the market place. It includes examples from #TF1-4 to TF26-14 (77 diff), unimprinted #23, 27, 61, & mint facsimile #F1, this collection has (35) that are known in quantities of less than ten each.
