Cotter's Battery 1861 Cover & Contents Signed by Major Charles CotterOct.21,1861 soldier's letter to parents back home. A six page letter signed by "Charley" who is Major Charles Cotter, in change of Cotter's Battery with matching stationery and cover. Good contents. Talks about blowing bridges, re-positioning of the battery, etc. Cotter hailed from Ravenna in Portage County, Ohio, area.
