Missouri -- St. Louis 1868 fancy cancel cover with Union Pacific Railway Company letterhead content Fantastic letterhead for Union Pacific Railway Company, Eastern Division, contains route map for railroad from St. Louis to California. Letter is fantastic as well. Son at Dartmouth in Hanover New Hampshire asked dad to send $20. Dad replies with a draft for $100 stating "I do not want you out of money". Letter is from S.M. Edgell, a director of the railroad. Letter has a tear in right side fold. Cover carries the corner card of the Exchange Bank of St. Louis which he probably got when he sent the bank draft. Full postmark and fancy cancel. (Image1)
