Lot No:1810 Symbol:cover Cat No:Stampless Masonic College, MO, July 3 (1845) manuscript postmark on folded letter, addressed Stauton VA, Marion County dpo open only (1844-1847), the college was established by the Free Masons in 1844 in the small village of Philadelphia MO on the former campus of the Marion College" which was soon deemed too small in 1848 it was moved to new building in Lexington MO, the college closed completely in 1857 due to financial issues, this is likely a UNIQUE marking, Extremely Fine.
