Maryland -- Two letters addressed to Samuel Chase. One to Baltimore. One to Annapolis Chase is the son of Samuel Chase, signer of the Declaration of Independence. 1821 letter has a Baltimore fluron postmark and is from Commissioner John F. Harris advising of a hearing date. The second letter is 1817 and mentions a W. Kilty (surname is maiden name of his father's last wife). Letter is signed by Thomas H. Bowie.
