Dark blue two-line corner card handstamp on buff cover with corners clipped for fumigation bearing two 5¢ rose lake (76) singles with right selvage, tied by multiple strikes of "Honolulu, H.I. Aug 23, 1895" duplex to Denver Col., Very Fine and scarce corner card handstamp. Meyer-Harris No. LTK-HS-2.

The 1895 Cholera Epidemic quarantined Honolulu from August 20, 1895 to October 23, 1895 and mail was fumigated before it could be put aboard a ship bound for another port. Louis T. Kenake was a postal employee and salesman.
