1863 ENGLAND to USA, #42 pays the 1sh Treaty rate on cover from London on AUG29,1863 and addressed to to Roxbury-Mass, missed the AUG 29th sailing of the Cunard SS SCOTIA from Liverpool but sent by Coastal Packet to Dublin + express train to Queenstown (Cork) where it caught up with the Scotia on it's AUG 30th fuel and cargo stopover, then onward to New-York on SEP 8th, credit 5¢ to the USA post office for inland delivery, Scott cat $450 US for the stamp on cover, VF est ($150+ US) (Image)
