America" via New York, two 1837 "Again at Sea" letters with Batavia forwarder's endorsement via Boston, 1837 Batavia via St. Helena "J. Folded letter folded letter datelined "Cape Good Hope Sep 30 1842" from the Hale correspondence, reverse with clear strike of "Forwarded by Isaac Chase, Cape of Good Hope" oval handstamp and manuscript "Recd. at St. Helena & forwarded by the U. States Consul" forwarder's endorsement (affected slightly upon opening), sent by private ship, entered mails with red "Edgartown Ms. Dec 20" cds and manuscript "20¾" rating for 18¾¢ inland plus 2¢ ship fee, forwarded to Northampton Mass. with manuscript "Glastonbury Ct Dec 27" postmark and "10" cent rating, Very Fine.
