Lovely Collection of 1c green Edward VII Postal Stationery Cards, all written up on pages, with 280 different cards, each collected and described as per its advertising on back (some on front), all sorted by theme, such as theatre, associations, banks, insurance, government, clubs, military, steamship lines and so much more. Collection of Used and Unused Postal Stationery, filling two thick binders with hundreds of items, the unused is a nice selection of mostly all different cards and covers, from QV to modern, with picture postcards (with matching stamps), etc. The used has a wide variety of different items, with many good postmarks, a few are uprated, some have corner cards, with a mix of cards and covers, etc. Very nice quality throughout (only a few small faults) and a better than usual collection of this type.

Box of Covers and First Day Covers, with about 1,200 commercial covers (about 500 of those are #8 size) from all over the world (probably at least 2/3 are from Canada) with many addressed to the same person in Ottawa. Includes some Field Post covers from the Admiral era, right up to modern period, with interesting frankings, many registered, some postage due forms, and more. Some have opening faults, still overall fine. Also contains about 250 Canadian First Day Covers (plus others not counted) from the 1940s to the 1980s, and we note some cachet makers such as NR Covers, Rose Craft, ARC, JCR, some home made non-cacheted covers and more. Overall fine or better.

Also sets of 9 Snowbird covers, each signed by one pilot from 2007-2009 and 2011-2013. Original cost per set was $45 each. Total original cost $510. These covers are scarce and no more have been flown since 2014. Very fine.

1936 Hamilton to Southern Rhodesia, mailed Hamilton (DEC.3.1936 machine cancel) and addressed to Bulawayo, S. Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), with JAN.7.1936 receiver on front, franked with a single 5c blue KGV. There is a PARTI / GONE AWAY boxed handstamp as well as another reading UNDELIVERED...., plus a return machine cancel on back (very light and therefore date unreadable) with red crayon arrows pointing to the return address on back. Group of Two Registered and Censored Covers from China to Canada, first is from Shanghai to Ottawa, received on APR.1.1941 and endorsed "per Pres. Pierce", censor tape C.286, and franked with six Chinese stamps totalling 100s. Second was mailed from Peking to Ottawa, through Vancouver MAR.17.1941, arrived MAR.21.1941. Franked with a single 1.00 sen stamp and censor tape C.277. Both covers have large labels on back reading "The Chartered Bank of India, Australia & China". Very fine. (Image)

We note such items as first flights, air mail, special delivery, registered, postage due, OHMS free-franks, WWI field post covers, DLO, many Small Queen covers, hand drawn cachets, FDC, Forces Air Letters, CFPOs, instructional markings, illustrated advertizing covers, change of address cards, and much more. We note a binder full of 1976 Peterborough KAPEX machine flags, with inverts, double strikes, and other varieties. There is also a good variety of postmarks, from early broken circles, to slogan machines, etc. Some faults on the earlier material but overall fine or better, and a nice lot, showing evidence that the collector had an eye for unusual items. 1945 War Issue Air Mail Censored Cover to Cyprus, mailed Montreal on JAN.18.1945 (duplex cancels) and addressed to Larnaca, Cyprus (arrived FEB.23.1945), franked with a 10c, a 50c and three $1 War issues, paying $3.60. Postmark on back appears to be Egyptian and there is a censor tape plus two censor postmarks. Vertical creases and roughly opened at left, still a rare war time destination and franking. (Image)

Empress of Ireland" plus an oval Ottawa DLO on back (SEP.25). Very fine. Empress of Ireland" plus part of an oval Ottawa DLO in green on back (OCT.13). Wrinkles and missing backflap, still fine. Also three different picture post cards, one mailed in 1914 (picturing the accident), this card with horizontal crease, a colour card mailed 1909 (trimmed down at top) and another unused depicting The Empress of Ireland and the Lady Grey at Québec carrying ashore the dead. Also a modern photographic reproduction of the ship. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
