1862, small cover with verticle pair, 5¢ blue, #7, tied by Chattanooga, Ten Aug 18 1862 cds, + 3¢ rose #65, not tied, note on inside of back flap: "This is the last of the captured envelopes from Shiloh", indicating that the soldier who affixd the 3¢ stamp was captured before he could mail the letter to Shanon Ga, thus the addition of the Confederate stamps, a long newspaper clipping elaborates further on this letter, the envelope has red & blue patriotic piping onlg the flaps on back, a rare piece of postal history (Image)
