1929, 2¢ Washington, type II, horizontal rotary press coil. Guide line strip of 5 & plain strip of 5 canceled with mute double ovals on a registered cover (window envelope) from Los Angeles on May 5, 1930; apparently originally addressed locally then redirected to San Francisco, then to Madison, Wis., and, finally, returned to sender with a final Los Angeles backstamp on May 26 and numerous intermediate handstamps; slight tear in glassine "window", otherwise Very Fine, ex-Griffith.

1924, 5¢ Roosevelt, horizontal rotary press coil. three singles tied by a New York machine cancel, Mar 29, 1930, on a damaged-in-handling Special Delivery cover from New York to Updala, Sweden, also bearing a "U.S. Ger. Sea Post, S.S. Geo. Washington" duplex handstamp of the same date on reverse; front bears handstamp "Received in Damaged Condition", and the back bears two Official Seals saying basically the same thing in German, "Der Seepost Hamburg-New York in beschädigtem Zustande zugegangen, daher amtlich verschlossen" with the addition of "officially sealed"; that being said, the only damage we see is that the right-most stamp is chipped, otherwise Very Fine.
