1820 Entire prepaid 11d from Burnley with red crowned "To be / delivered / Free" (Jay 715) applied in error and deleted by a black erasure handstamp, replaced by a Paid datestamp. Very unusual, this Free handstamp supposed to be used on official mail, soldiers letters or letters to or from high ranking postal officials to secure free delivery within the London local post.
