THE FINEST OF ONLY TWO RECORDED EXAMPLES OF THE 1865 5¢ BLUISH BLACK "HAWAIIAN POSTAGE" NUMERAL ISSUE, THIS BEING THE UNIQUE UNUSED EXAMPLE.

The color of the printed design appears black; however, when held to light, the ink shows a hybrid mixture of blue and black. The used example is defective with tight margins.
