Manuscript postmark (YUB-1230, R5) on cover to Cartesburg, N.H., franked with manuscript canceled 1861, 3¢ rose; minor cover edge wear, Very Fine, the earliest of two known postmarks from Owsley's Bar and the only posted prior to the official opening of the post office in December of 1855.
