Tied by cork cancel on real photo post card showing "Interior of tent, Sanatorium Mont Alto Pa." to Middletown Pa. with clear strike of "DISINFECTED." straightline handstamp, message from patient: "Nov. 28. 09, I got here all right & felt better right away, have not coughed hardly any, last night or today…", Very Fine and scarce Mont Alto Sanitarium real photo post card.

The Tuberculosis Sanitarium located at Mont Alto Pa. was one of three large TB sanitariums located in the state that treated thousands of patients. All mail was disinfected to prevent the spread of the disease.
