1909, $1 violet brown. In combination with 1914, 20¢ ultramarine (419) on portion of registered St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank cover, tied by "St. Louis, Mo." oval handstamps, Very Fine, very rare, even on piece usage.

The Federal Reserve Bank in St. Louis officially opened on November 16, 1914. The bank likely purchased a supply of postage stamps, which would have included remaining supplies of the little used dollar stamp. The large envelope or package was addressed to another FRB branch.
