Hawaii, 1857, 5¢ blue, thin white paper (Scott 8), used with U.S. 1851 12¢ black (#17), the two tied by a partial San Francisco c.d.s. on a cover to Salem, Ore.; the U.S. 12¢ is Very Fine with four nice margins, the Hawaiian 5¢ is touching or cut in on three sides; the cover is reduced just a bit at the left but is otherwise clean and Very Fine, with a 2017 P.S.E. certificate.
