Extensive Collection of First Day Covers from 1953 to 2010, all housed in five large Lighthouse binders with slipcases. The regular issues run from 1958 to 2010 and the Air Mail issues run from 1953 to 1987. The Air Mail section alone catalogue $1,388 (as used stamps only) and include many better items such as C21, 33, 37, 50, 54 and 88. We counted 912 different covers in all, and note that there is a large amount that catalogue in the $10 to $20 plus a number above that, up to $80. The binders alone retail $400. A very nice collection, with lots of topical interest and rarely offered. We have scanned 13 items online. (Image)

Large Lot of Modern Covers and Cards, 1980s to 2000s, with probably close to 1,000 items in all, with at least two thirds being a personal correspondence (incoming to Montreal) from all over the world. This was the property of a worldwide topical collector, and therefore many covers have colourful and topical frankings, many are registered or have other interesting attributes. Also includes some Canadian modern FDC, unused stationery picture cards, etc. Nice overall quality.
