Nevertheless attractive and unusual entire! (In addition blue circular letter seal "DEUTSCHE SÜDPOLAR EXPEDITION")

The item is accompanied by a detailed, pictured newspaper report (Göteborgs Posten, 1982 April 25). Very rare!

Most attractive entire, rarely seen registered mail!

Message "a last farewell and best wishes to your and your wife" (in German) dated 4 Dec 1911 and signed by Dr. Wilhelm Filschner (expedition leader), Richard Vahsel (Captain, died 8 Aug 1912), Dr. Fritz Heim (geologist), Dr. Erich Barkow (meteorologist), Dr. Wilhelm Brennecke (oceanographer), Dr. Erich Przybyllok (astronomer and geomagnetic scientist), Dr. Felix König (alpinist), Dr. Ludwig Kohl (ship's doctor), Dr. Wilhelm von Goedel (ship's and expedition's doctor) on front and on reverse. Most unusual entire showing NINE different signatures of crew members to an appropriate address!
