1898, envelope 10 M. uprated 2 M. (2), 3 M. (2, creased), 5 M. tied indistinct probably desert railway "Wadi Halfe-Halfaya S.P.5 4 4 98" to Launceston, Tasmania. At 4/4/98 the railway line was 1 month south of Atbara. Cover written by W. J. Burrows to his wife, probably an engineer working for the british military constructing the railway. On reverse transits Wadi-halfa, Alexandria, Suez, Colombo and Luanceston arrival 1 June 98. Creases and blurs but quite unusual. (Tax Method: Margin System) (Image)
