The Jamaica Bishop Mark Handstamp. 1799 (8 Apr.) entire letter, headed "Pastures Clarendon", via Kingston to Roxborough, rated "4/4" in red and again in black ink and showing, on reverse, superb "jamaica/20 apr.9" J4 datestamp (a very early date), equally fine "ap/13" Bishop mark and London datestamp (1.7) in red. A fine and rare example of the Bishop mark applied on outgoing mail. Photo
