1868, N.O. PAULY´S EXPRESS PAID 3 CENTS postal stationery envelope, tiny oxidized and toned stamp and border. Nicholas O. Pauly and G. H. Norman formed Pauly & Nohrman's Express in 1864 to serve the mining camps along Gibsonville Ridge. They are thought to have connected with Pacific Express Company. In 1868, they parted ways with Pauly continuing along the same route under his name for a short time. Only two examples of this type printed frank are reported, and one of only about four known N. O. Pauly cover of any kind.
