1858 50 øre carmine vertical strip of three used along with 30 øre brown, 24 øre orange and 12 øre blue on triple-weight letter from Stockholm to Paris via Hamburg in 1862, all tied by "STOCKHOLM/8/2/1862" c.d.s., red "PD" in oval, Hamburg transit datestamp on the reverse, and further (indistinct) c.d.s. on front. A fresh, fine, scarce and most attractive franking on this unusual letter. (Image)

1870 Destination BELGIUM: Entire letter from Skellefteå to Anverp, BELGIUM via Northern Germany (endosed 'via Nordtyskl'), franked by 1858-70 'Coat of Arms' 12øre blue and 24øre orange both tied by fine strike of "SKELLEFTEÅ/12/8/1870" c.d.s., red "P.D." alongside, and on the reverse with "WAMDRUP/19 8 II/FLENSBURG" transit d/s and Anvers '21 Aug 70' arrival dater. 1870 Field Post cover to a Lieutenant of the Royal Saxon XII. Army Corps, 23rd Devision, 46th Brigade, 103rd Inf. Regt. during the Siege of Paris, franked by 1858 12 øre blue (x2) and 1863 3 øre brown all tied by DANISH "FRA SVERIG 27/9 1870" c.d.s., and on the reverse with Copenhagen and Flensburg transit datestamps. The stamps with a few short perfs (at covers edges) and short tears in both 12 øre otherwise fine. A VERY SCARCE IF NOT UNIQUE COVER TO THE BESIEGERS OF PARIS. Dr. H. Obermüller-Wilén certificate.
