Aden 1898 Picture postcard "Gruss aus Aden" (Greetings from Aden) used to Germany, franked by German 1889-98 'Crown & Eagle' 10pf. red and tied by "DEUTSCHE SEEPOST OST-ASIATISCHE-HAUPTLINIE 13 5 98" c.d.s., with Giessen '26.5.98' arrival dater alongside. Minor blemishes (light stains) but still good. A VERY EARLY PICTURE POSTCARD FROM ADEN. Condition: Cover Value Add Taxes (19%) will be added to the hammer price and the buyers premium. (Image)

Aden 1917/1921 "BASE OFFICE ADEN": Official field postcard and a cover used from Aden Base office, with card to India bearing "BASE OFFICE ADEN I.E.F./22 JAN 21" double circle d/s (Proud D3) as well as arrival datestamps (redirected), and cover addressed to England with "BASE OFFICE ADEN I.E.F./12 JAN 17" dcds (Proud D3) on the reverse, and "Censored by (W) Martin/12.1.17" in m/s on front. The cover has been opened roughly (tears at top) otherwise fine. An interesting pair. Condition: Cover Value Add Taxes (19%) will be added to the hammer price and the buyers premium. (Image)
