1900 (March 1) Siege of Ladysmith patriotic postcard produced by beseiged British troops, sent unfranked to "Sergeant Major F Piens, 2nd Middlesex Regt, South African Field Force" with message dated "1.3.00" [the day after the seige ended] and very fine strike of 'FIELD POST OFFICE BO/*/MR 1/00/BRITISH ARMY S.AFRICA' cds on face, taxed with 'T' h/s (large serifs; seemingly identical to that illustrated by Brian Trotter in Fig.F7/48 p255) apparently applied in the Cape Colony, minor blemishes.

1912 (Feb 18) cover to London with interprovincial usage of Transvaal KEVII 1d red tied by 'DURBAN/ 4.45PM/.../NATAL' cds after close of the regular mail, late fee not paid so very fine 'POSTED LATE' h/s applied on face and held over for the next mail, London 'MR16/12' arrival b/s.
