Airmail Postal History, 1925 (Jul 4) Shenandoah Governor's Conference Flight (Frost ZR1-Bc), commemorative cover addressed to A.C. Roessler with a 2¢ Lexington-Concord tied by purple flight cachet with the Jul 4 U.S.S. Pakota duplex handstamp alongside; erroneous manuscript notation, "Only mail ever carried by…Shenandoah" but not flown; slight mounting damage on the reverse, Fine to Very Fine. Includes a brief history of Shenandoah written by one Thurlow Pitt, who, as a young boy growing up in Bar Harbor, had witnessed this flight first-hand .account.
