Patriotic cover to London (Scott 37a), ties lovely 24¢ gray to "Flying Eagle with Flag" Patriotic cover front (rebacked) addressed to London, England; stamp well-centered and tied by Boston "PAID" in barred circle, with red "Boston/JUL/16/61 [year slug inverted, appearing as "19"]/Br. Pkt." alongside; red London "PAID" receiver below dated 27 JY 61; light corner toning, likely from the rebacking, otherwise Very Fine, a pretty item, and an unusual foreign destination usage, with 2008 A.P.S. certificate.

Tenth Street, Philadelphia." imprint on backflap; addressed to Elyria, Ohio, and franked by a well-sunned #26 (its copper red gone nearly orange yellow) tied by a grid cancel with JUL 11 (year not fully struck up) Philadelphia octagonal cancel alongside; face fresh, opening tear on reverse with area of paper loss from seal removal on backflap, otherwise Very Fine, an attractive cover, rare.
