PORTUGAL AND COLONIES, held in two three-ring binders. The first contains Portuguese issues, primarily used, starting with some of the earliest (#2, 6, 8, 9, 10, a strip of 3 #11 and much more) and extending into the 1990s. It includes plenty of air mail, postage due, telegraph, newspaper, officials, a couple of mint sheetlets, franchise, and other BOB as well. The second binder, also crammed full of manila stock pages, holds issues from Angola, a couple from Angra, Azores, Cape Verde, Funchal, Horta, Inhambane, Lourenco Marques, Macao, Madeira, Mozambique (plus a separate section of just Mozambique Company), Nyassa, Ponta del Gada, a few from both Portuguese Africa and Congo, Portuguese Guinea, Portuguese India, Quelimane, St. Tome & Principe, Timor, Zambesia, and a couple from Tete. This is another lot received from a retirement village of missionaries who have been accumulating stamps for decades.
