1879 (Aug 29) Stampless cover with Hamilton "1" duplex, addressed "To His Excellency Sir Robert Michael Laffan, Governor, Commander in Chief &c&c&c, Mount Langton", containing a petition from T.M Trott, asking that his son A.W.R Trott (the bearer of this letter) be appointed Receiving Officer Keeper at Harrington Sound in place of his sister, who has resigned. Adolphus Trott was appointed Receiving Office Keeper three days later, on 1st September. A unique cover and letter, ex Ludington.
