1868/1982: Persia/Iran collection in four albums, beginning with a range of "Lion" issues, those in the main believed to be forgeries, later issues also requiring very careful study. The covers yield some interest with among others a great WWI cover to Switzerland with French censor strips and an incoming letter from "HARBIN"/Manchuria to Teheran. Furthermore airmails and censors of other areas as well as some Irak issues make for a varied lot. Finally there is a beautiful handpainted Persian miniature believed to be over two hundred years old.
