1856, 4 c., black on blue surface-coloured paper, no wmk, imperf, initialled EDW(ight), cut octagonal, displaying good margins, uncancelled, the glazed surfaced being in perfect condition for this paper, this example must be regarded as of exceptional quality and as one of the finest known, taking into consideration the used examples of which exists one on letter/three cut square and 6 cut octagonal, an outstanding world rarity - the unique unused example recorded, one of the two rarest and most valuable of all unused stamps of British Guyana, an absolute gem and rarity of the highest degree in the British Empire, this stamp was listed by mistake as used in the three previous sales, for the first time examined by BPA 2016 as uncancelled and confirmed 2021 by the RPSL as NOT cancelled, the mentioned filled hole BPA insists on being of natural cause because of primitive paper production just mentioned for full accuracy, YOU CANNOT FIND A BETTER ONE Adrian Myer from BPA said, so it is of no relevance thus, one can call it the little brother of the 1 c./magenta/the most expensive stamp in the world which is from the same issue and has the highest potential for investors, ex Ferrary I/Lot 55/June 1921//Burrus, Nov 1863/lot 89 from the Robson Lowe sale//Edward M.
