1854 Double-Lined Numeral Watermark Laureates 3d yellow-green pair with the left unit 'WACES' SG 87/87a, margins close to good just touching at lower-right (on the non-variety unit), reasonably light but indistinct numeral cancels clear of the variety, Cat £280+.
1897 Jubilee original artwork in pencil with an unltramarine watercolour field on thin surfaced card (114x76mm), apparently being an essay for the 2½d design & likely prepared by or for the Government Printer William Gullick, very fine & attractive.
1897 Jubilee original artwork in black ink on thin artboard (each 93x131mm) for unadopted 1d & 2½d designs, each endorsed "Nunc aut numquam" (= Now or never) at L/L & with small filing hole at U/L indicating removal from an official (?) file, some damp-spotting mostly on the 1d card.
