POSTAL CARDS: 1945-69 issues beautifully presented 5-frame exhibit featuring 1945-46 austerity issues on a variety of stocks, 5c olive overprinted for Dutch Railways, '5/CENTS' on 7½c Laren Provisional, 'NEDERLAND 5' on Dutch Indies 3½c, '5' on 7½c Scenic Issue with Double Surcharge & Inverted Surcharge on the same card!, Marathon Charity 10c with 'SPECIMEN' h/s in violet, 1967 Phosphor Trials, Labour List Cards comprising Wilhelmina 7½c red & 7½c brown (current for only two months) and Juliana 6c both types, 5c, 7c & 8c x2 (both used), etc, unusual usages 1946 returned for postage & 1956 internal express, generally very fine to superb! Ex Hans Karman. [The so-called Labour List Cards must be the largest Postal Stationery items ever produced, for any country] (Qty 184)

POSTAL HISTORY: 1916 cover from a Belgian interned soldier to German-occupied Belgium with green POW label Mi 1 (NVPH 1N1; Cat €200 for a used stamp) just tied by 'LEGERPLAATS' cds & 'PORTVRIJ/FRANC DE PORT/Militaires.../Internés dans...' cachet, German 'Zuruck/weil unzulassig' h/s (= Return, as inadmissible), minor blemishes & minor creasing. [Because the Netherlands was neutral & the Belgian refugees were internees rather than prisoners-of-war, the Germans refused to accept covers such as this as free mail. Legerplaats-bij-Oldebroek is situated between Amsterdam & Zwolle]
