Finland, Double A 6 card with printed photo of the island in the finnish archipelago where the artistry family of Tove (1914-2001) and Lars Jansson (1926-2000) and their parents spent their summers. The card sent to Ulla from the brother of Tove, Lars (Lasse) the illustrator of many of her Mumin series. "The SUMMER BOOK" mentioned on the card and included here in the lot, is about Lars´daughter Sofia, himself and particularly the grandmother to Sofia = mother to Tove and Lars and their relation and life during summers on the island. To the typed text on the card, he has added comments to the photo: bridge, Sofie´s playhouse, the summer house with added veranda. The grandmother, born in Sweden, is the FAMOUS FINNISH STAMP DESIGNER Signe Hammarsten-Jansson (1882-1970), who designed almost all finnish stamps between1929-1962. (Image1)
