1854 Type 2 MS60 by wear. Scarcest by far of the three diff $1 Gold types but this coin has some light scuffs on the obv & rev. Still ok for a Type 2. (Image)

1911 Indian AU. A good candidate for type. Though beautiful and popular, St. Gaudens design for this coin is a curiosity - an Indian headdress or war bonnet is placed on a depiction of Liberty that, unlike the Quarter Eagle and Half Eagle of the same period, is a far cry from a native American. Being politically correct wasn't important in those days. (Oh, how times have changed.) (Image)

1834 Classic Head Crosslet 4 AG. Obv is full G but rev has lost most of the peripheral lettering K8 to K4. For a gold coin to get this much wear, it must have been a pocket piece for some fortunate individual for several decades. (Image)
