1849 (first year of issue) w/ a loop soldered @ K12:30. The coin does show some wear indicating that it was probably worn as a necklace or bracelet charm for many years. (Image)
1905-S Liberty AU. This coin has been lightly cleaned but it is still appealing. 1905-S is 4 to 5 times scarcer than the 1905 Philadelphia issue which isn't all that common to begin with. This cataloger has handled over a thousand $10 gold pieces and this is the first 1905-S that can be recalled. (Image)

Cat No:1839C
1839-C Classic Head XF+ lightly cleaned. This lot represents a rare opportunity to acquire an example of scarce gold from the Charlotte Mint. The issue was struck from two dies, the present coin appears to be the overdate variety as the undertype is clearly visible beneath the 39 of the date. The rev shows three prominent die cracks, one going from the eagle's left wing to the rim at K10, a second dramatic one running from the left corner of the shield thru the eagle's beak, and a third going from the leftmost talon to the rim at K6:30. An historic and interesting coin despite a few light hairlines. (Image)

1855 Liberty AU detail. There are a few obv hairlines and a scratch runs from below the date diagonally thru star 12. Inspection suggested. (Image)
1905-S Liberty MS60. A myriad of small bagmarks constitute the only issue if one has to be noted. The 05-S is one of the less-encountered "common dates" in the $20 Lib series. Inspect! (Image)

1927 St Gaudens ANACS MS63. Lustrous and attractive! (Image)
1861 Liberty XF. Pre-1866 "No Motto" coins are far less common than the "with Motto" pieces, and significantly more worn. The present example has no problems other than honest light wear making it a great example of the "No Motto" type. (Image)
1881-S Liberty lustrous AU. Very attractive. (Image)
