Japan, 1944 (25 June) 2s. stationery card, uprated with War Factory Girl 1s. orange-brown, from Osaka to Mutankiang F.P.O. 9, 207 Watanabe Unit, Manchuria, with Military Airmail Reply triangle (MA9) attached at upper right, trivial light corner crease at extreme upper left noted for accuracy, a fine and exceedingly rare surviving usage of the special airmail service triangle from the later-War period military stationery card permitting the carriage of the card by airmail while only being charged regular surface postage.

The "airmail reply" triangle/label, which was cut from the military stationery card sent by the serviceman, allowed the serviceman's family to write back to him by airmail on military transport on a space-available basis and pay only the normal surface mail rate.
