1935 (Sep 30) Cover with enclosed letter from Korumburra to Hobart, a little water damaged and the stamp washed off, with enclosed explanatory slip "Recovered from Air Liner "Loina" in saturated condition", backstamped at Hobart (Oct 6). The October 2nd Holyman Airways Melbourne to Whitemark flight in airliner "Loina" crashed into the sea killing all five people on board; the three mailbags containing 301 letters were recovered on October 4th and taken to Hobart where the letters were dried and backstamped. E535, $400.
